The Q-Bic story

The Q-Bic® concept was invented and designed by Stian Valentin Knutsen in 2015, after decades of effort to create the perfect packaging. For over 30 years Stian gained experience in product development, advertising and branding, and is well known for his products and concepts, many of which have been patented.

After a major Norwegian food chain asked for help to improve their cube packaging, Stian came up with the idea of dividing the cube into six pyramid containers, optimizing space usage and minimizing air content.

The patent for this concept was filed on December 2015. Stian founded Smart Packaging Industries Holding AS and Smart Packaging Industries AS (SPI) the following year, with co-founder Kolbjørn Mikkelsen. The Q-Bic concept is fully owned by SPI Holding through the ownership of patents and copyrights.
